Display Related Dimensions

...

Except for video specific dimensions, all relevant dimensions should correlate with display inventory same as in video.

...

“Inventory Creative Type” - Shows the creative type of the inventory requested (works for both demand and supply) - To clarify, if a single format or a multiformat channel got an inventory/inventoryRequest/request etc from a video player or display placement, the requested creative type is deterministic (we never call both together), so this dimension shows the relevant requested creative type. Values can be “Display” or “Video”.

Dimensions (Display, Multiformat, Creative types)

  1. All environmental and ad-server dimensions that are not video specific are also used for display traffic.

  2. Inventory Creative Type - The creative type that was assigned to the metrics (display or video).

  3. Channel Creative Type - What is the channel’s creative type, “Display” or “Video” or “Multiformat”.

  4. “Ad Ad Source Creative Type” Type - Shows What is the static ad source’s creative type of the ad-source. Value can be “Display” or “Video” (there is no multiformat ad-source).

...

  1. .

  2. Multiformat Type - The multiformat feautre type that was assigned to the metrics, values can be “Preroll”, “Overlay”, “Passback”.

  3. Creative Dimensions - Assigned only to impression events, what are the width and height of the rendered impression’s creative (unlike Player Dimensions that shows the container size).

Metrics (Display, Multiformat, Creative types)

  1. All non-video specific metrics will can be used. (e.g First Quartile will not be available for display data).

  2. There are some issues with “Click” in the display scope, due to lack of propagation between iframes, so don’t expect to see this reported correctly most of the time.

Multiformat specific metrics:

  1. New metric: “Display Passback” - This represents every time that the display passback is triggered for a certain video player.

  2. It’s important to note that when passback is triggered and the display placement is launched, there is no additional inventory event counted, so both display and video revenues will be calculated under the same inventory.

  3. All passback related display data is listed under the video player entity, so an ideal way to view a multiformat channel, or a studio tag with passback, is to add the “inventory creative type” dimension, to separate the data to video and display

  4. Multiformat Inventory -

    1. Inventory event is not fired for multiformat features inside a video player, only the video ad player will fire it, this is done to prevent issues with RPM calculations.

      1. Standalone display placements will use Inventory and NOT Multiformat inventory.

    2. Multiformat Inventory is fired for each multiformat feature that is deployed in the player once in each session. For example: Instream player is loaded, it fires an inventory events, then a display preroll feature is loaded, the multiformat inventory will be fired with multiformat type=“Preroll”, then the display overlay feature is loaded, the multiformat inventory will be fired again this time with the dimension multiformat type=“overlay”.

Note: To view only display or video related data in report, use the “Inventory Creative Type” filter.
