Multiformat Channels

What Are Multiformat Channels:

1. Multiformat channels host both video and display waterfalls associated to them.

2. Multiformat channels can serve demand to:

   1. Video players with multiformat features.

   2. Video players (without multiformat features).

   3. Display placements

How To Create And Use Multiformat Channels:

1. Make sure that display service is enabled in the account (see if you have “Display Placements” in studio section of the menu to be sure) - If you don’t have it, ask your CSM to enable it for you.

2. Create display ad-sources (Google, Prebid, received partner connections).

3. Create multiformat channel OR convert existing channel to multformat -

   1. To create a new multiformat channel -Select “Multiformat” under “New Channel” in channels page.

   2. To convert an existing channel to multiformat use the convert button and approve:

   3. Associate display ad sources in channel’s display tab - To associate google demand, associate the Google ad source or PC in the Google ad units section in your channel.

   4. Associate video ad sources in channel’s video tab.

   5. If publisher connections are needed:

      Open

      

      1. Make sure you create two publisher connections, one for video and one for display.

      2. Important: You must associate both display and video to the same publisher channel.

         1. Use “Save + Channel” button to create the initial publisher channel automatically.

         2. Use “Choose Existing Publisher Channel” to associate to an existing publisher channel.
            Select an existing publisher channel from the dropdown.

         3. Publisher channel must be multiformat to support both publisher connections:

            1. New publisher channels - Any publisher channel created under a multiformat channel will be set as multiformat.

            2. Existing publisher channels - Publisher channels will be automatically converted to multiformat when associating new publisher connections via the “Choose Existing Publisher Channel” field. *If you did not use the method mentioned here, make sure you convert the existing publisher channel manually.

   6. If partner connections are needed:

      1. Make sure you create two partner connections, one for video and one for display.

      2. Make sure your partner associates the partner connections to the same channel.
